Great price for complete mix like this. Works as advertised.

I’ve been experimenting with different agar mixes, and this one from Myco Labs is easily one of the best I’ve tried. I used 1 tablespoon (which came out to roughly 20 grams) mixed with 1 liter of water. The powder dissolved quickly, and I poured the mixture into my plates using a glass Pyrex dish. The consistency was spot-on, smooth and easy to work with—no clumps or unevenness.



What really impressed me was the growth I’m seeing on these plates compared to my previous batches. The mycelium is spreading faster and looks healthier overall. Whatever the case, my cultures are definitely loving it, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.



If you’re looking for a reliable agar powder that delivers excellent growth and consistency, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s made a noticeable difference in my cultivation process, and I’ll definitely be sticking with this mix for future projects!

This mix is great- I measured out 1 tablespoon, which was about 20 grams and mixed it with 1 liter of water in my glass Pyrex and the mix poured great, just the right consistency. I am seeing better growth on these plate from my last transfers and I am not sure why. Maybe the soy peptone? I dont add that normally but the mycelium really like it!
