Thank god for this! No more babysitting my Presto's and I can just set it and forget it! Great for making agar! Love the removable stainless steel basket!

Perfect autoclave! Shipped fast and customer service was amazing as usual

I decided to purchase this machine after reading up and gathering info on these. Ultimately it was the safety and ease of use for me. Not to say regular stove top units are not equally as safe and easy. I’ve had zero experience with a stove top unit and did not want my house going kaboom. This is literally a set it and forget it machine. The crew at MWG took all my calls and answered all my questions.

   

This thing is amazing! No issues so far. It is built out of heavy-grade stainless steel...the only thing I would worry about is the silicone gasket. You may want to find out where to buy replacements when you purchase. There have been no issues with it just know that they do wear out. Seems to be really good quality....the timer does only go to 99 minutes so if you are doing bags you will have to start it over after the time is up. It's probably a good thing...will keep you from leaving it unattended for 3 hours since it is not recommended to leave your home while it is running. It is very quiet, also nice to be able to leave water in it so it is ready to go next time. You do need to change the water periodically! Let it cool completely and wrap an alcohol soaked paper towel around the holes in the release valve...or open in front of a flow hood.

     

My new 25 gallon autoclave arrived timely, but I wasn't available to test it until today and I ran into problems trying to get the pressure up to 121. I called customer service and Nicholas responded within a few minutes wait time and walked me through the process. I needed to make sure the air vent was down to get the pressure up. Working with a steamer is new to me and I was nervous about buying one in the first place, but feel pretty good now. As you might see in the photo, the pressure is at 121 and I had two minutes left to go. Thank you Nicholad for your patient help.
